History

Formerly known as Suri Kerd Local School, it was established in April 18, 1925. The first class is composed of 40 students and one teacher named, Mr. Saengthong Demaros. On the year 2005, it is relocated to its present location. The building during that time is only made of wood from the dismantling of the Meng Rail Military Camp.

Present structure of the school

In year 1936, the government established the municipality of Chiang Rai which changes the name of the school to Wiang 1 Sri District Local School. The school was turned over the the government, Wiang 1 Sri District Local School changed its name to Srikird Municipality School 1 on July 5, 1937.
